Smart Curtains
Smart Curtains turn conventional curtains into an automated part of the home or building. Curtains can open, close or stop at selected positions using a wall switch, remote control, mobile app, schedule or a wider Smart Home system.
AZTÖR Automation supplies and installs motorised curtain systems for villas, apartments, penthouses, hotels, offices, meeting rooms and premium commercial interiors across the UAE.
The system is built around a motorised curtain track selected for the actual opening. Straight, centre-opening, single-side opening and suitable curved track arrangements can be designed according to the window, ceiling and interior layout.
Smart Curtains can operate individually or as part of a scene. A Morning scene can open selected curtains and adjust lighting, while an Away or Good Night scene can close curtains together with other connected functions.
Depending on the selected system, control can be provided through wall keypads, handheld remotes, mobile applications or compatible voice-control platforms. Manual pull-start and manual operation during a power interruption are also available on selected motors.
For premium villas and hotel rooms, quiet motor operation and smooth curtain movement are important. Motor torque, track length, curtain weight and fabric type should therefore be considered before selecting the curtain motor.
Smart Curtain Automation can integrate with KNX and other compatible Smart Home or Building Automation platforms. This allows curtains to work together with Smart Lighting, HVAC, occupancy sensors and predefined room scenes.
Automatic scheduling can open or close curtains at selected times. Where suitable sensors and automation logic are used, curtain position can also respond to sunlight, room conditions or building operating schedules.
Existing properties can often be upgraded without major interior changes, provided suitable power and mounting arrangements are available. AZTÖR checks the ceiling, curtain pocket, track dimensions, power location and access for future maintenance before installation.

Smart Curtain motors should be selected according to curtain weight, track length, opening direction, fabric, track configuration and expected operating frequency. For concealed curtain pockets, the available space and future maintenance access should also be checked before installation.
