Automatic Telescopic Glass Doors
Automatic telescopic glass doors are designed for entrances where a conventional sliding door cannot provide enough clear opening. Instead of using one moving leaf on each side, multiple glass leaves slide and stack behind one another, allowing more of the available entrance width to be opened while using less lateral parking space.
This makes telescopic doors particularly useful in UAE buildings where the entrance is wide but the available wall or pocket space beside it is restricted. They are commonly considered for hotels, hospitals, commercial towers, retail entrances, showrooms and other locations where pedestrian flow and architectural appearance are equally important.
A telescopic system requires more careful planning than a standard sliding door because several leaves must move together accurately. During our free site inspection, AZTÖR checks the structural opening, required clear passage, available stacking space, individual leaf dimensions and weight, pedestrian traffic, floor condition, fixing points, power supply and surrounding architecture before proposing the system.
AZTÖR supplies complete telescopic entrance packages including the automatic operator, synchronised sliding mechanism, aluminium profiles, glass leaves, activation sensors, presence safety sensors, selector controls, locking and other accessories required for the project. Two-leaf and four-leaf telescopic arrangements can be considered depending on the opening and selected manufacturer.
For suitable UAE and GCC projects, systems can be selected from established automatic entrance manufacturers such as dormakaba, GEZE, ASSA ABLOY, TORMAX and other technically appropriate brands. The final manufacturer and operator are selected according to opening dimensions, leaf weight, expected traffic, required functions, spare-parts support and project specification.
Telescopic doors can also be integrated with access control, card readers, biometric readers, intercoms, push buttons and compatible building-control interfaces. Where security is required after operating hours, suitable locking and controlled-access arrangements can be incorporated into the entrance design.
Because telescopic systems contain additional moving leaves, carriers and synchronisation components, correct adjustment and preventive maintenance are important for long-term performance. AZTÖR provides installation, commissioning, repair, modernisation and scheduled maintenance throughout the UAE, together with project and technical service support across the wider GCC.
