Health, Safety & Environment Policy

Aztor Technical Service LLC, operating under the brand AZTÖR Automation, is committed to conducting its activities in a manner that protects the health and safety of our employees, technicians, customers, contractors, visitors and members of the public while minimising the environmental impact of our operations.

Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) considerations form an important part of how we plan, execute and maintain automation, access, security and technical systems.

Our HSE Commitment

AZTÖR Automation aims to provide and maintain safe working practices across our activities, including site inspection, installation, testing, commissioning, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, emergency response and technical support.

We are committed to:

• Providing a safe and healthy working environment as far as reasonably practicable.
• Identifying workplace hazards before and during work activities.
• Assessing risks and applying appropriate control measures.
• Preventing work-related injuries, incidents and unsafe conditions.
• Providing appropriate personal protective equipment for relevant activities.
• Using suitable tools and equipment for the work being performed.
• Promoting safe electrical, mechanical and working-at-height practices.
• Protecting customers, visitors and members of the public around our work areas.
• Reducing unnecessary waste and environmental impact.
• Continually improving our HSE awareness and working practices.

Management Responsibility

Management is responsible for promoting a positive safety culture and ensuring that HSE considerations are incorporated into operational planning and decision-making.

Supervisors and responsible personnel are expected to communicate relevant safety requirements, identify foreseeable risks and take reasonable action when unsafe conditions are identified.

Employee & Technician Responsibility

Every employee and technician has a responsibility to work safely and to consider how their actions may affect themselves and others.

Personnel are expected to:

• Follow applicable safety instructions and site requirements.
• Use required personal protective equipment correctly.
• Use tools, ladders and equipment only for their intended purpose.
• Report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment and potential hazards.
• Avoid bypassing safety systems or protective devices.
• Maintain reasonable housekeeping within the work area.
• Stop and report work where an immediate and serious safety risk is identified.

Risk Assessment & Work Planning

Before undertaking work, relevant site conditions and foreseeable hazards should be considered. The level of assessment required will depend on the nature, complexity and risk of the activity.

Typical hazards associated with our work may include moving machinery, automatic doors and gates, electrical systems, working at height, lifting and handling, power tools, vehicle movement, sharp components and interaction with members of the public.

Appropriate control measures should be implemented before work proceeds.

Personal Protective Equipment

Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) should be used according to the activity and site conditions.

Depending on the task, PPE may include:

• Safety footwear.
• Work gloves.
• High-visibility clothing.
• Safety helmet.
• Eye or face protection.
• Hearing protection.
• Other task-specific protective equipment where required.

PPE is considered an important layer of protection but does not replace proper planning, safe working methods or appropriate engineering controls.

Electrical Safety

Many AZTÖR systems involve electrical power, control wiring, motors, sensors, access-control equipment and electronic components.

Electrical work should be performed by appropriately competent personnel using suitable tools and safe working practices. Where necessary, equipment should be isolated from the power supply before maintenance or repair work begins.

Live electrical work should be avoided unless specifically necessary, appropriately assessed and undertaken using suitable controls.

Mechanical & Automation Safety

Automatic doors, gates, barriers, garage doors, shutters and industrial doors can create significant mechanical forces during movement.

Technicians should take appropriate precautions to prevent unintended movement while inspecting, adjusting or repairing equipment.

Safety devices such as photocells, sensors, safety edges, emergency controls and obstacle-detection functions should not be intentionally disabled except where temporarily required for controlled testing by competent personnel.

Working at Height

Installation and maintenance activities may require access to overhead door operators, sensors, cameras, motors, control equipment and other elevated components.

Suitable ladders, access equipment or working platforms should be selected according to the task and used on stable surfaces in accordance with appropriate safety practices.

Personnel should not improvise unsafe access arrangements or work at height where conditions present an unacceptable risk.

Tools & Equipment

Tools and work equipment should be appropriate for the intended activity and maintained in serviceable condition.

Damaged, defective or unsafe tools should be removed from use until repaired or replaced. Guards and other manufacturer-provided safety features should not be unnecessarily removed or bypassed.

Manual Handling

Some automation equipment, doors, motors, barriers, control panels and structural components can be heavy or difficult to handle.

Personnel should assess the weight, shape and handling requirements before lifting or moving equipment and use mechanical assistance or additional personnel where reasonably required.

Site Safety & Housekeeping

Work areas should be maintained in a reasonably clean and organised condition throughout the activity.

Tools, cables, packaging and removed components should be positioned so that they do not unnecessarily create trip hazards or obstruct customer access.

Where work affects a public or operational area, appropriate barriers, warning signs or temporary access controls should be used where necessary.

Vehicle & Traffic Safety

Many AZTÖR projects involve vehicle entrances, parking areas, loading facilities, gates and barriers where vehicles may continue to operate around the work area.

Technicians should remain aware of vehicle movements and establish a reasonably protected work area where necessary. Traffic routes and emergency access should not be obstructed without appropriate coordination.

Customer & Public Safety

Our responsibility extends beyond our own personnel. Work should be planned to minimise unnecessary risk to customers, residents, employees, visitors and members of the public.

Where an automated system presents an immediate safety concern, AZTÖR may recommend isolating or restricting use of the affected equipment until suitable corrective work has been completed.

Emergency Preparedness

Personnel should familiarise themselves with relevant emergency arrangements at the site where required, including emergency exits, assembly areas, first-aid arrangements and site emergency contacts.

Emergency access routes and fire-safety equipment should not be obstructed by tools, materials or installation activities.

Incident & Near-Miss Reporting

Work-related incidents, injuries, property damage, significant near misses and serious unsafe conditions should be reported promptly through the appropriate company or site process.

Where appropriate, incidents may be reviewed to understand contributing factors and identify corrective or preventive actions.

Environmental Responsibility

AZTÖR Automation recognises the importance of reducing the environmental impact of its activities wherever reasonably practicable.

Our approach includes:

• Reducing unnecessary material waste.
• Separating recyclable materials where practical.
• Handling electronic and electrical waste responsibly.
• Avoiding unnecessary energy consumption during work activities.
• Preventing improper disposal of oils, batteries, electronic components or other potentially harmful materials.
• Reducing unnecessary vehicle journeys through appropriate work planning where practical.
• Encouraging repair and responsible component replacement where technically and economically appropriate.

Waste & Removed Equipment

Packaging, cables, electronic components, motors, control boards, batteries and replaced equipment generated during our work should be handled appropriately.

Materials requiring specialist disposal should not knowingly be placed into unsuitable general waste streams where applicable disposal arrangements are available.

Contractors & Third Parties

Contractors and specialist third parties working on behalf of AZTÖR are expected to follow applicable site safety requirements and conduct their activities responsibly.

Where several contractors are working within the same area, reasonable coordination should take place to minimise conflicting activities and unnecessary risks.

Training & HSE Awareness

AZTÖR encourages employees and technicians to maintain appropriate awareness of the hazards associated with their work.

Safety instructions, toolbox discussions, technical guidance, manufacturer information and lessons from previous work may be used to improve awareness and safe working practices.

Stop-Work Responsibility

AZTÖR personnel are encouraged to stop or postpone an activity where they reasonably believe that continuing the work would expose themselves or others to an immediate and unacceptable safety risk.

Work should resume once the relevant hazard has been assessed and appropriate controls have been established.

Continuous Improvement

Our HSE practices are reviewed and improved through operational experience, site observations, incident reviews, customer requirements, employee feedback and changes in applicable requirements.

Our objective is to prevent incidents rather than respond to them after they occur.

Compliance

AZTÖR seeks to conduct its activities in accordance with applicable health, safety and environmental requirements in the United Arab Emirates, together with relevant project, site and client requirements within the agreed scope of work.

Where a project is subject to additional authority, consultant, facility-management or principal-contractor HSE requirements, these requirements should be identified and communicated before or during mobilisation as applicable.
