Automatic Sliding Doors
Automatic sliding doors are one of the most widely used entrance automation solutions for buildings with regular pedestrian movement. The door opens automatically as a person approaches and closes after passage, providing convenient hands-free access without requiring the floor space needed by a conventional swing door.
In the UAE, automatic sliding doors are commonly installed at shopping malls, hotels, hospitals, supermarkets, commercial towers, residential buildings, offices and retail entrances. The correct system should be selected around actual traffic, door dimensions, leaf weight, available side space and environmental conditions rather than simply choosing an operator by price.
A reliable automatic entrance starts with the opening itself. During AZTÖR's free site inspection, we check the structural opening, existing framing, door-leaf dimensions and weight, available sliding space, pedestrian traffic, wind exposure, electrical supply and required operating functions before recommending the operator and accessories.
Systems can be configured as single-sliding or bi-parting entrances using aluminium-framed, slim-framed or other suitable door-leaf constructions. Depending on the project, the complete package can include the automatic operator and track, door leaves, rollers and carriers, activation sensors, presence safety sensors, programme selector, locking, battery backup and required control interfaces.
AZTÖR works with established automatic entrance manufacturers such as dormakaba, GEZE, ASSA ABLOY, TORMAX and other suitable brands available for UAE and GCC projects. Operator selection depends on factors including leaf weight, opening width, traffic frequency, required functionality, project specification and long-term availability of service and spare parts.
Automatic sliding doors can also form part of a controlled entrance. Compatible systems can integrate with card readers, biometric readers, keypads, intercoms, push buttons and other authorised access-control devices. Where supported, interfaces with building management, fire alarm or other building systems can also be considered according to the project requirements.
Existing automatic sliding doors do not always need complete replacement when they develop a fault. AZTÖR can diagnose problems involving sensors, rollers, belts, motors, control boards, batteries, locks, guides and door alignment. Where the mechanical entrance remains serviceable, repairing or modernising selected components may provide a more practical solution than replacing the entire system.
AZTÖR provides automatic sliding door supply, installation, repair, retrofit and preventive maintenance across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain. Suitable project and technical support is also available across the wider GCC.
