Automatic Telescopic Doors
Automatic telescopic doors are designed for entrances that need a wider usable passage than a conventional sliding door can provide within the available space. Instead of using a single moving leaf on each side, multiple door leaves move in a coordinated sequence and stack behind one another, allowing more of the structural opening to remain clear.
This makes telescopic automation particularly useful in hotels, hospitals, commercial towers, shopping malls, airports, retail properties and other UAE buildings where pedestrian capacity is important but the architecture provides limited space beside the entrance.
The main advantage is not simply having more door leaves—it is making better use of the available opening. A correctly designed telescopic entrance can provide additional clear passage without requiring the same lateral parking space as a conventional sliding arrangement.
AZTÖR provides a free site inspection before recommending a telescopic system. We measure the structural opening, calculate the available stacking area and required clear passage, and review door-leaf dimensions and weight, structural fixing, pedestrian traffic, floor conditions, wind exposure, electrical supply and required controls.
Depending on the entrance geometry, systems can be configured as single-sided telescopic or bi-parting telescopic arrangements. The complete installation can include the automatic operator, synchronised drive mechanism, tracks and carriers, door leaves, activation sensors, presence safety sensors, programme selector, locking, battery backup and required control interfaces.
AZTÖR works with suitable telescopic entrance systems from established automatic-door manufacturers such as dormakaba, GEZE, ASSA ABLOY, TORMAX and other technically appropriate brands available for UAE and GCC projects. The final system is selected according to opening geometry, leaf weight, traffic, required functionality, project specification and long-term serviceability.
Automatic telescopic doors can also integrate with card readers, biometric systems, keypads, intercoms, push buttons and other authorised access-control devices. Where supported by the selected operator, interfaces with building management or other building systems can also be incorporated according to project requirements.
Telescopic doors contain additional carriers, moving leaves and synchronisation components compared with a standard sliding entrance. Correct alignment and preventive maintenance are therefore particularly important. AZTÖR can diagnose problems involving operators, rollers, carriers, belts, synchronisation, sensors, locks, controls and door alignment on suitable existing installations.
AZTÖR provides automatic telescopic door supply, installation, retrofit, repair and preventive maintenance across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain. Suitable project and technical support is also available across the wider GCC.
