Automatic Swing Doors
Automatic swing doors provide hands-free access while retaining the familiar operation and compact footprint of a conventional hinged door. An automatic operator opens the door when activated and controls its closing movement, making swing automation particularly useful where a sliding entrance is impractical or an existing hinged door needs to be retained.
One of the biggest advantages of swing automation is retrofit flexibility. Many suitable existing aluminium, glass, timber and metal doors can be automated without rebuilding the complete entrance. This makes automatic swing operators popular for offices, hospitals, clinics, hotels, residential buildings, accessible entrances and controlled staff doors throughout the UAE.
AZTÖR provides a free site inspection before recommending an operator. We check the door width and weight, hinges or pivots, opening direction, structural fixing, available operator position, swing path, pedestrian traffic, wind exposure, electrical supply and the way the entrance is actually used. A powerful operator alone cannot compensate for a poorly aligned or mechanically unsuitable door.
Depending on the door geometry, automatic swing operators can use push-arm, pull-arm or compatible sliding-arm arrangements. Single and double doors can be automated, and suitable systems can coordinate two leaves where sequenced operation is required.
Activation can be completely hands-free or intentionally controlled. Radar sensors can provide automatic pedestrian activation, while touchless switches, push buttons, elbow switches and authorised access-control devices are useful where the door should open only when requested.
Safety is especially important because a swing door moves through an arc occupied by pedestrians. Depending on the application and selected system, safety sensors can monitor the swing path and doorway while opening and closing speeds, force and hold-open behaviour are configured around the entrance.
AZTÖR works with established automatic entrance manufacturers such as dormakaba, GEZE, ASSA ABLOY, TORMAX and other suitable brands available for UAE and GCC projects. The final operator is selected according to door dimensions, weight, usage, required arm arrangement, environmental conditions and project specification.
Existing automatic swing doors can also be repaired or modernised. AZTÖR diagnoses operator, arm, sensor, control-board, locking, activation and mechanical door problems before recommending component replacement or complete operator replacement.
AZTÖR provides automatic swing door installation, retrofit, repair and preventive maintenance across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain, with suitable technical and project support available across the wider GCC.
